CAPA-HC collaborates with the public school system, community organizations, private foundations, and the County government to leverage its services and meet the needs of families with diverse backgrounds.

CAPA received COVID-19 Vaccination grant from Howard County to promote the prevention of COVID-19 and educate about the benefits and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines amongst Asian-American communities.    

Led by Howard County Health Department, CAREAPP helps connect people to community programs and services.

We’re proud to join nearly 50 organizations partnering with the Horizon Foundation on mental health outreach. Together we help promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma around seeking help, share information about available resources and find ways to maintain social connections.

Listening Sessions: Barriers to Hospice and Palliative Care Use in the Chinese American Community

On June 8th, 2021, CAPA participated in the Listening Session hosted by the Hospice & Palliative Care Network of Maryland Diversity Council and supported through a grant from the Horizon Foundation.

We enthusiastically announce that Chinese American Parent Association of Howard County is awarded a $50,000 grant by the Maryland Department of Planning. CAPA will partner with the Howard County Complete Count Committee, diverse community organizations, foreign born groups to educate the public importance of Census 2020 to ensure a reliable and inclusive census count and increase the self-response rate among all people in the county.
